Meet your Olathe Republican Leadership Team
Here are your 2015-2016 Republican officers:

David Lightner, Chair
David Lightner is a lifelong Johnson County resident. He is a small business owner, being President of a video and film production company for 30 years. For the last 20 years, he has been involved in local politics, volunteering for a number of local campaigns.

His involvement increased when his wife Patricia ran for State Representative in 1998, a position she served in for six years, and then when she ran for Congress in 2004 and 2010. David ran himself for Olathe City Council in 2009. He has been a volunteer for numerous candidates, which led to being elected as Chair of the Olathe Republican Party in 2011.

David's hero is Ronald Reagan, due in large part to the fact his father grew up with Ronald Reagan in Illinois. David and Patricia have two daughters.

You mail e-mail him for any questions!

Roni Paul, Vice-Chair
Ronnita (Roni) Paul has been a resident of Olathe since 1992. She has owned and operated a successful Olathe small business since 1996. She has three grown children; her first grandchild (a boy) is due in May 2016. She is married to Dan, her biggest fan and supporter.

Roni has been an active member of ORP (Olathe Republican Party) since 2008 and was appointed Secretary of ORP in January 2016 when then Secretary, Mike McGovern, stepped down from that position to assume a new position on the board. Since becoming a member of ORP in 2008, she has become very active in the political process, walking door-to-door for various State, County & City candidates as well as helping in their offices and helping in the Johnson County Republican Party office during election season. She was elected the Ward 2 Precinct 03 Committeewoman in 2014.

Adam Thomas, Treasurer
Adam has lived in the town of Olathe most of his life. He is General Manager of a local restaurant and is looking to be a new, fresh face to the Republican Party. Adam is a member of the Olathe Youth Symphony Association Board of Directors, and has volunteered to help campaign with multiple local and state officials. Most recently he was elected Treasurer of the Olathe Republican Party in 2015.

Adam and his wife Kristin are currently raising 4 daughters in the Olathe School District.
